Robin Tripp, Handbell Director, first rang handbells at Los Altos United Methodist Church in Long Beach. Then, after moving to La Maddalena, Sardegna, Italy, she discovered an unused 3-octave handbell set at the Navy chapel and started a multi-denominational bell choir. She also volunteered at the American school where she organized a Christmas program combining the Italian school and the American school. Upon returning to San Diego in 1997 she started directing the youth handbell choir at St. Mark’s.
