April Trustees Update
St. Mark's Trustees met at our regularly scheduled time and had a full discussion of campus topics for 94 minutes.
We reported successful change of sanctuary spotlights, which now illuminate the front of the church, again!
The Trustees voted to initiate an upgrade to the fire-reporting system, from landlines to cell services, with this work organized in June, during the next nursery-school break (in case the alarms sound during the change).
The Trustees voted to remove the leaning pine tree at the southwest corner of the sanctuary.
The Trustees have decided to change our trash-removal service and reported the steps necessary to do this; this continues to align with the new food-waste disposal procedure introduced by the nursery school.
The Trustees still plan to look into resurfacing the carpark: what is needed, what will be the cost, etc. We will also considered reversing the carpark to ease drops off in front of the church.
We discussed the cost of repairing and maintaining the sanctuary stained glass, including an insurance claim, now that we have a detailed estimate. This also involved deciding to temporarily repair the broken glass pane on the north-facing outer glass curtain caused from last September's tropical storm.
Our men’s group, "Marksmen," have begun their service to secure the campus buildings after church on Sundays and begin their rotation of responsible persons in April; we thank them!
Lastly, we discussed the campus landscaping; we hope to organize a campus work party sometime in May, as the nursery school is holding an Earth-day event.
